About Bush Foundation
The Bush Foundation’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for the courageous leadership necessary to create sustainable solutions to tough public problems and ensure community vitality. The Foundation was established in 1953 by 3M executive Archibald Bush and his wife, Edyth, and today works in communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.
The Network for Excellence in Teaching (NExT) initiative is the largest single commitment in the Bush Foundation’s history. A critical part of reaching its goal in the next 10 years to increase by 50 percent the number of students in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, from pre-kindergarten through college who are on track to earn a degree after high school, and eliminating disparities among diverse student groups.
